Rhinebeck, Hudson Valley

Welcome

All last summer we pressed flowers. Every walk ended with something tucked between the pages of the heaviest book we own, and by September it wouldn't close.

This is what we made with them. We're getting married in a meadow in August, with a long table in a greenhouse and nowhere to be the next morning. We would love for you to be there.

Pressed Memories

A few pages from the heavy book.

  1. A pressed cosmos
    2019The farmers' market

We both reached for the last bunch of sweet peas. Theo let go first. Maeve bought him a coffee to say sorry.

  2. A pressed pansy
    2020The first garden

Four tomato plants on a fire escape and a window box of pansies that somehow outlasted the winter.

  3. A pressed cornflower
    2022The long drive north

Two weeks, one tent, and a field of cornflowers outside Burlington that made us pull over and stay the afternoon.

  4. A pressed buttercup
    2024A dog named Clover

She digs up everything we plant and we forgive her every time.

  5. A pressed poppy
    2026The question

Asked on one knee in the poppies at the edge of the farm, about ten yards from where we'll say yes again.
